Here's what worked, and what didn't
The hotel's location is perfect, just steps from Mustek metro station, and the bed was blissfully comfortable. Staff were attentive and eager to assist.
Reception is in a separate building, causing initial confusion, and room decor feels dated, lacking the modern charm I expected.

best thing was undoubtedly the location on a large avenue with several fast food restaurants, shops, currency exchange agencies and small supermarkets. We were able to move around on foot without using public transport (there was a metro station very close to the hotel that we did not use). Comfortable room with a pleasant temperature ( there was 0o in the street in the middle of January). breakfast was varied. We had booked the transfer service from the airport to the hotel for 30? the driver charged us 2? extra. we commented on it at the hotel the girl who was in reception told us that she didn't know what had happened, that she was sorry, next morning when she asked again, Lukas, who was the one who had confirmed the price to us by email apologized for the mistake and gave us back that 2 euro difference.
That the room did not have a view of the main avenue, but we also did not ask if we could be changed. They didn't speak any Spanish, but we understood each other well in English.

Due to the location directly on Wenceslas Square, everything is easily accessible on foot. English and - partly - German are spoken at the reception. The rooms are big enough. The bathroom, including toilet, and the shower was also big enough and clean. The breakfast was plentiful (only until 10 am., shortly afterwards you were asked to come out). Checkout is possible until 12 pm.
The (old) windows are unfortunately not particularly soundproof. The unavoidable noise of the surroundings of Wenceslas Square, unfortunately also the noise of the current hotel construction site opposite, is very noticeable. An investment in sound insulation is urgently needed here! Unfortunately, the curtains on the windows in the room leave so much space that an effective darkening is not possible. The beds are rather hard, almost uncomfortable; one has to like that. In total, therefore, some deductions in the comfort rating. ATTENTION: Parking in the multi-storey car park at a distance of approximately 200 m (costs: 25 €/night flat rate) is done by the parking personnel. Self-parking is not possible. My car had clear (new) paint damage on the side of the front apron when I returned, but unfortunately - despite much discussion on site - I could not prove this. Very annoying! Therefore: Please make sure to take pictures of the vehicle before adjusting the vehicle directly on site to document the condition of the vehicle!

Clearly the choice at breakfast. With the exception of coffee. But I think that was due to the Prague tap water, as other hot drinks were not so special. But the food was really delicious and there was something for everyone... The location was very good, you can get to all the tourist attractions on foot (normal mobility provided).
After the photos it looked a little better than it really was. And for the price I expect something more, not much, but something e.g. care products in the bathroom (if only shower gel for men was available from a dispenser, it was impossible to wash long hair with it so that it would get totally knotted; a small body lotion would have been nice, too). Room was a bit noisy, I would recommend earplugs for sensitive people to sleep.

good standard hotel and good value for money. good location for city break. room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was also of good standard
the breakfast was of poor standard. The hot food was not what I would expect for breakfast. One morning the hot food was chicken nuggets, mashed potato and vegatables. A basic scrambled egg and perhaps sausages or bacon would have been preferable.

Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and location on the square make it perfect. Breakfast, which was the standard European fare, included in price made it all around the best deal. This is my 2nd time here and am planning a 3rd. This isn't a 5 star hotel with a bunch of extras, but has everything for the regular traveler.
